Last night I decided to watch the movie Maurice, because I've read the book and it has Rupert Graves in it. And also the whole thing it is on youtube. Now, I can't usually make it through movies. I always multi-multi task, and usually just use it as background noise, turning it off as soon as I'm done with whatever I'm tasking. I was planning to "watch" it while reading an essay for one of my literature classes and playing tiny zoo on my phone, but this movie. Seriously. Watch it.
It was so utterly engrossing that I stopped doing anything else. Which is a serious compliment for me. When I heard barking from outside my room, it was very shocking because I'd forgotten where I was. It took me a few minutes to realize that it was just the guy who lives down the hall, who likes to bark.
Anyway, if you too have seen the movie and have an opinion I would love to talk about it. I'm very excited about this film, really. And I've probably watched the boathouse scene at the end about fifteen times now, I kept watching it on repeat last night. Because really. Really. Good stuff.
Probably one of the few times I will say that the movie was better than the book. Watch it. I will peer pressure you until you do.
Don't worry about Joseph his bite is worse than his bark. Oh wait a minute... Shutting up now. I shall check this movie out! But probably the book first. ^_^
